Saudi Luxury Hotels: Common Questions

What are the best luxury hotels in Saudi Arabia?

The Red Sea private-island resorts are Saudi Arabia's most exclusive stays: the St. Regis Red Sea Resort (overwater villas, seaplane-only access) and Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve (just 63 villas). Inland, The Ritz-Carlton Riyadh is the definitive city palace hotel, and Banyan Tree AlUla offers canyon-edge desert villas. We list luxury hotels across six Saudi destinations: the Red Sea, AlUla, Riyadh, Jeddah, the Asir highlands and Madinah.

How much does a luxury hotel in Saudi Arabia cost?

Red Sea private-island resorts start from approximately $1,200 per night and rise sharply for overwater villa categories. City hotels in Riyadh and Jeddah are considerably less. Rates move with your dates, room category and cancellation policy, so the only reliable figure is the live rate for your specific stay. That is why we compare every booking site rather than publishing a single price.

Which booking site is cheapest for Saudi luxury hotels?

There is no single site that is always cheapest. The lowest rate for the same room varies by date, room category and cancellation policy, so it moves between Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Agoda and Trivago from stay to stay. We list all of them side by side on every hotel page so you can check each in a couple of clicks. Our Saudi Luxury Hotel Price Index tracks how rates compare across sites.

Does it cost more to book through LuxurySaudi4U?

No. You pay the same rate as booking directly with each site, and we never add a fee. We may earn a commission from our booking partners at no additional cost to you, which is how the site stays free and independent.

When is the best time to visit Saudi Arabia for a luxury stay?

October through March is the ideal window for most of the Kingdom. The Red Sea is calm and clear, AlUla's canyon evenings are comfortable, and Riyadh Season runs across those months. Avoid July and August in Riyadh and Jeddah, when temperatures exceed 40°C. The Asir highlands are the exception: at 2,200 metres and above they stay cool year-round and are most popular May–September.
